Zero-click, when the answer needs no visit

The answer appears in the result or the chat, and no one clicks through.

A zero click result is when a person gets their answer without visiting your site. The search result shows a snippet that answers the question, or an AI assistant states the answer in the chat, and the click never happens. This is a growing share of how people get information, and it changes what a visit is worth.

It is easy to read this as a threat, and for pure traffic it can be. But two things are worth holding onto. Being the source of a zero click answer still builds authority and brand, and AI answers increasingly name and link the source. And the questions that do end in a click are often the valuable ones, where a person wants to go deeper, buy, or act.

So the play is not to fight zero click, it is to be the source of it for the simple questions and the obvious next step for the complex ones. Answer the quick question cleanly so you are the one cited, and make it clear what a reader gains by coming to you for the rest.

Topkay scores whether your page can be that source: whether an engine can lift a clean answer from it, and whether it is trusted enough to name. See trust.
