The outcome: a page an AI can lift a clean answer from, not just rank for. This is the work that turns a page that ranks into a page that is the answer.
- Run Answerability on the page. The heatmap scores each passage on how retrievable it is, and marks the weak ones with why: low relevance, similar to nearby content, too short, no heading, buried.
- Run Fan-out coverage. It generates the questions an AI expands your topic into and shows which your page does not answer. Those gaps are content to add.
- For each weak passage, apply the fixes: lead with the answer, name the subject inside the passage, give it a heading phrased as the question, keep the key fact in one sentence. See how to make a page more answerable.
- For each gap, add a short section that answers that question directly. Do it because the question is worth answering, not to game the score.
- Run both again. A page that answers its real questions in clean, self contained passages is the one that gets cited.
